Personal Pattern YAY!!! This is feeding my Harry Potter obsession. My friend Sophie, again in Maine, was a Gryffindor and she wanted me to make something for her. Thus, I made this bag! It’s worked flat as one piece and knits up really quickly in Vanna’s Choice yarn. The strap is made by twisting two pieces of yarn together and then folding them over so they twist together again on their own and don’t unravel. Super easy. So, if you would like to make a Gryffindor in your life really happy, here’s my pattern!

Front:

  • CO 45 sts.
  • Knit 10 rows in MC (red)
  • Knit 3 rows AC (yellow)
  • Knit 50 rows MC

Then the pattern chages for the back! BUT DO NOT CAST OFF. This is all one piece.

  • *Knit 4 rows AC
  • Knit 4 rows MC
  • repeat from * 6 times
  • Knit 4 rows AC
  • Cast off

Follow the color work chart to put the lion on your bag!

*Please don’t use this pattern to make money. Make hordes and hordes of bags for your friends family coworkers cats but DO NOT sell them. Thanks :-)
